HONORARY MENTION
Flash Experiment
René Weirather
For two years, I have had my own computer. My mom showed me the programs (Coreldraw, Photopaint and Frontpage—and the Internet, of course, and how to put pages up). So I played around with it. I have games on my PC, too, but only Köpfchen & Co, where you have to solve things.
Then one day, I discovered the Flash program on my mom's PC and I wanted it right away. First I looked at all the examples in the program, and then I read all the help topics (there weren't very many), and then I tried making games and cartoons myself. Every day I learned more about Flash, and I have more and more ideas about what else I could make with it. One day I spent a whole eight hours with Flash. I like the actions and variables best. I only put a few of my Flashes on my homepage—the others are all on my PC. I'm glad that I won, because now I can see the computer museum in September, my mom has already told me a lot about it.
