It is often when we are injured or ill, that we become aware of our own body's physical existence in a new way. Swollen lumps, dull pain, infection, fever or bleeding shake us into awareness. Particularly intense are childhood memories concerning the body. Using a collage of blown up shots of skin and a subtly wavering stop-motion, this work makes us conscious of the fact that we are simply bags of “flesh”.
