DISTINCTION
Rolling Stone
Maik Groß

Rolling Stone is a kind of mini-game that can be played for fun. It has a very simple story: it’s about running away from an enormous stone so as not to get rolled over by it.

After making several Flash animations and smaller films, I was tired of two-dimensionality and began looking for the right program for me to make 3D games. And then at Christmas, my parents gave me 3D GameStudio A6 Commercial and I immediately began programming my first game. I decided to practice first by developing a minigame. Rolling Stone was born. Four months later I was finally done. The stone began rolling…

I’ve decided to specialize in the graphic implementation of my ideas. My goal is to give my projects, that is, my games, films and drawings, a different look (comic shader, manga-like model design), one that fits whatever design is my favorite at the time. Right now I love the style of comics. The comic look allows me to portray things that are not so realistic.
