MIDE is a programming environment that proposes a new way for artists and designers to visualize, edit, and manipulate interactive software. It enables the user to define a conceptual visual representation to complement the traditional text-based representation of the users’ code. The interface is designed to facilitate fluid transitions between different modes of computational representation and different levels of representational detail, with the goal of making software a more accessible and expressive medium for designers and artists.
