I/I/E plays with vibrations and acoustic energies that originate from the infrasonic frequency range—tones and noises that are too low to be heard by the human ear. If sonic pressure (i.e. volume) is high enough, though, infrasonic waves can be felt. The literally unheard sounds of the Interactive Infrasonic Environment are produced by a six-meter-long organ pipe and a wind machine.

Viertelwelten focuses on outlying districts, the parts of town often dismissed as insignificant parts of the city but whose diversity or uniformity turns out to be a decisive determinant of a city’s character. Viertelwelten isn’t an exhibition trying to get something across to kids. Instead, it regards kids as the experts, and the messages are addressed to adults.

The Ether Inductor equipped with high-performance sensors stages a playful encounter of two persons initially separated by a dark partition. If the two protagonists successfully carry out motion assignments issued on a display, the partition gradually becomes transparent and optical contact become possible.
