The 100YC project sets out to design a vision for the 100 year development of Maribor, aiming to enrich and transform the future for the 2012 European Capital of Culture Year by envisaging 2112. The program includes exhibitions, symposia and online collaboration modules with leading international architecture schools, enabling global connectivity and collaboration between approx. 30 universities and faculties, more than 100 studio leaders and more than 100 projects, sharing research, teaching and learning outcomes.

The initiators of the project will present theoretical insights into the background and vision of the project, and showcase some of the elaborate models developed by architecture students on their collaborative online platform. A subsequent panel discussion with high-profile architects from around the world will reflect on the development and findings of the project.
