Both the Ars Electronica Center and other festival locations in downtown Linz are largely barrier-free. However, since Ars Electronica also repeatedly plays at unusual venues designed for completely different purposes, it may occasionally happen that exhibition spaces are not barrier-free. We apologize for any inconvenience!

Unfortunately, it is not possible to take dogs and other pets into the locations of the Ars Electronica Festival.

We recommend that you book your accommodation in Linz as early as possible. We have possible locations in Linz you can find on the pages of linztourismus.at.

Our publications are distributed by the publishing house Hatje Cantz and are available both locally at Ars Electronica Center and from various online mail order companies. The festival catalogue 2020 will be published at the end of August 2020. Please also search our Online Archive for our previous publications.

For Artists

Should you require an invitation letter for your visa or for presentation at public institutions, please contact us at festival@ars.electronica.art.

Basically, there is no Open Call for the Ars Electronica Festival. All artistic program decisions are made exclusively by our artistic director. However, you can still submit your projects:

  • You submit your project to the Prix Ars Electronica. The renowned Media Art Award is the most important project pool for our festival program – this also applies to projects that do not receive an award at the Prix Ars Electronica! Information on submissions can be found at ars.electronica.art/prix.
  • If you do not wish to submit your project or if your project is not suitable for submission, please send us information about your work by e-mail to festival@ars.electronica.art
