Deep Space LIVE: Fascination of the Oceans

(Linz, September 30, 2013) A pictorial journey through the habitats of oceanic flora and fauna is the highlight of the next Deep Space LIVE on Thursday, October 10, 2013. Elisabeth and Peter Pflügl, a husband-and-wife team from Linz that has been documenting acutely endangered species for over 20 years now, will screen fascinating images they shot in Raja Ampat and the Lembeh Strait in Indonesia, two oceanic regions absolutely teeming with diverse marine life. This colorful show starts at 8 PM.

Linz residents Elisabeth and Peter Pflügl are scuba diving enthusiasts. They’ve visited virtually every ocean in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres, and have more than 6,000 dives to their credit. Their documentary films—featuring, for example, mountain gorillas in Ruanda, natives of West Papua and African volcanoes—are fascinating viewing for all age groups.

It’s quipped with a total of eight 1080p high-definition and active stereo-capable Barco Galaxy NH12 projectors that can display 16×9-meter, crystal-clear images on the walls and floor. Whether you’re into great works from the history of art, space travel, journeys of discovery in the nanoworld, or a 3D South Sea island for kids, there are countless realms to discover in Deep Space.
