(Linz, March 23, 2015) A mountain bike documentary film in a class of its own awaits visitors to the AEC on Thursday, March 26th at 8 PM. “Signatures” features a lineup of the best European mountain bikers putting their skills on display at breathtaking locations around the world—from British Columbia to Indonesia to the Austrian Alps. One of the stars is Linzer street trial pro Dominik Raab, who’ll also give the live audience in Deep Space a taste of his spectacular feats on two wheels. And on Friday, March 27th, the next installment of GameStage@AEC is on tap. From 6PM to 12 Midnight, computer gaming enthusiasts are invited to immerse themselves in the world of character design, find out more about innovative control concepts in computer games, and get hands-on experience with a few fascinating games. Admission is free of charge.
Dominik Raab
Dominik Raab is a professional street trials and mountain biker. Born 1985 in Linz/Austria, Raab found his passion for the sport of mountain biking around 1997. In 2003 he won the Austrian State Champion title in the discipline of trials biking. Today, the Upper Austrian is one of the best and most popular trials bikers in the world. Touring the globe under the flag of bicycle manufacturer “Merida Bikes” Dominik Raab keeps the crowd entertained performing his one-of-a-kind feats, doing trials demos, photo and video shootings. With the “Dominik Raab Mountain Bike Trials Show” the cyclist is an entertainer on two wheels at over 100 days a year to show off his skills in the context of sporting events, product launches or corporate events. Among the highlights are performances in China, Taiwan and the USA.
Deep Space LIVE
The Ars Electronica Center is now hosting a Deep Space LIVE event every Thursday (except holidays) at 8 PM. Each presentation will feature ultra-high-definition imagery in 16×9-meter format and will be accompanied by expert commentary, entertaining stand-up repartee, and musical improvisation. Whether great works from the history of art, space travel, journeys of discovery in the Nanoworld, or a live concert is what you’ve come to behold, Deep Space LIVE stands for enlightening entertainment amidst breathtaking worlds of imagery. Admission is €2. Holders of a valid Museum ticket are admitted free of charge.
