Easter Program at the Ars Electronica Center
(Linz, March 17, 2016) Have your Easter eggs painted by a robot, design gaily colored Easter landscapes, experiment with a fully-equipped sound studio and a greenbox, and marvel at an extreme close-up look at Leonardo da Vinci’s world-famous painting “The Last Supper.” Lots of interesting stuff is happening at the Ars Electronica Center during Easter time too! There are fun activities for young and old lined up during Family Days on Saturday and Sunday, March 19 & 20, 2016. And on Thursday, March 24th, we’re hosting a Prix Workshop and the next Deep Space LIVE.
Egg-Bots in FabLab

Here’s a new twist on painting Easter eggs. In the Ars Electronica Center’s FabLab, visitors can design their patterns on a computer and then assign a robot the job of actually coloring the eggs.

Haven’t picked out an Easter gift yet? In the FabLab, visitors—kids and grown-ups too—have access to a wide assortment of tools. And if you’re the least bit handy, you can craft your very own Easter landscape. Here, the imagination knows no bounds!
Little Bits

Little Bits are tiny electronic components that are held together by magnets. They’re designed to enable youngsters to understand the fundamentals of electronics. On Saturday and Sunday, visitors can experiment with Little Bits and experience all the interesting things that can be done with them.
Family Tour

The Family Tour takes in an array of fascinating exhibits in the Ars Electronica Center. This family activity is enriched with lots of interesting ideas about our future.
Prix Workshop (for 8-12-year-olds)
Thursday, March 24, 2016 / 9:30 AM-1:30 PM
A fully equipped sound studio, a greenbox, an animation lab and lots more technical infrastructure and options are available to young participants in this workshop. This is a great way to get the requisite skills for submitting a project for Prix Ars Electronica prize consideration. Compose and play music, shoot videos, and give free rein to your creativity!
Deep Space LIVE Special: The Last Supper

On Holy Thursday, visitors to Deep Space at the Ars Electronica Center have an opportunity to get an ultra-high-definition look at Leonardo da Vinci’s The Last Supper together with Michael Zugmann of the Catholic Private University Linz.
