Interview mit Maria Altrichter am Ars Electronica Blog
(Linz, February 18.2.2018) This coming Thursday, February 22nd at 7 PM, Maria Altrichter of the municipal archive will host a trip back in time to Linz in the days when Johannes Kepler lived here. She’ll screen sketches, painting and engravings that give an idea of everyday life in the city in the early 17th century, and accompany the images with fascinating details about urban development. Her talk will also provide a historical overview of an epoch characterized by a Habsburg family feud between brothers Rudolf II and Matthias, as well as the political and religious consequences of the Counter-Reformation.
Maria Altrichter
Maria Altrichter was born in 1980 in Upper Austria. After high school, she studied history and archival science in Vienna. Maria Altrichter has been on the staff of the Archives of the City of Linz since 2009.
Deep Space LIVE
The Ars Electronica Center hosts a Deep Space LIVE event every Thursday (except holidays) at 7 PM.
