(Linz, June 27, 2011) The last installment (for now) in the Deep Space LIVE series is set for Thursday, June 30 at 8 PM, and will showcase historical treasures from the holdings of Linz’s City Archive. Staff historian Markus Altrichter will display photos of significant historical events in Linz — for example, the so-called February Revolt of 1934, the 1954 flood that inundated more than a fifth of the city, and the opening of Austria’s first self-service retail shop in 1950 at Wiener Reichsstraße 2.
