Prix Ars Electronica Submission Deadline Extended

(Linz, March 6, 2013) Due to popular demand, the deadline for submitting entries to the Prix Ars Electronica has been extended. Now you have until March 20th to submit projects to the Prix Ars Electronica at https://ars.electronica.art/prix/en or to nominate works by others.

Prix Ars Electronica

The event calls for entries in seven categories, including a youth competition. And since internationally renowned artists from over 70 countries also participate in the Prix Ars Electronica, it has established itself as a barometer for trends in contemporary media art. There have been 51,613 entries since the Prix’s inception in 1987. Prize money totaling €117,500 makes it the world’s most highly endowed prize for computer art. Jurors award six Golden Nica statuettes, [the next idea] voestalpine Art and Technology Grant, 12 Awards of Distinction and a number of Honorary Mentions.
