Terra Mater LIVE: Miracles of Life – Dingos

(Linz, May 23, 2013) The next Terra Mater LIVE on Wednesday, May 29 sets its sights on Australia’s most dangerous and most successful hunter: the dingo. Possessing tremendous power and endurance, these wild dogs hunt in packs. And actually they’re not even native to Australia; scientists now believe that immigrants from what is now Indonesia brought them along about 5,000 years ago. Over the millennia, countless dogs escaped into the Australian outback, where they adapted to conditions prevailing in the wild and evolved into today’s dingos. Martin Mészáros, head of production at terra mater factual studios (TMFS), will moderate. Admission is free.

Martin Mészáros is head of production at TMFS, where he works on a wide variety of projects and his focus is on leading-edge technologies such as 3-D. Among his best-known achievements is TMFS’s multiple-prizewinning production “You, Planet – An Exploration in 3D.” Before going to work for terra mater, Mészáros was head of production in the ORF – Austrian Broadcasting Company’s Natural History Unit, where he supervised such important projects as the Emmy-winning Universum series “Nature Tech” and docu-dramas such as “The Vampire Princess,” “The Voynich Puzzle” and “Ants – The Secret World Power.”
