For particularly interested visitors, selected festival locations along the Danube will already open their doors on September, 5th. The Lentos Art Museum, the Canadian Media Art Network Hexagram and the Ars Electronica Center are pleased to give initial insights into their exhibition program.

Opening Featured Artist Elisabeth Schimana (AT) “Hidden Alliances” with live tape performance von Beatriz Ferreyra

Surprised by an alleged world without female artists in the field of electronic music/art, Elisabeth Schimana (AT) set out in the 1990s in search of a way. Projects such as portrait 01 – The Futurist, realized by Ö1 Kunstradio, led to a series of video portraits under the title IMAfiction after the founding of IMA Institute for Media Archaeology in 2005. 10 artists, pioneers of their time, tell a somewhat different story in the exhibition and together design an exciting network of relationships.
