Ars Electronica Center, Seminar Room
Matthew Gardiner and his team at the Ars Electronica Futurelab will present work in progress from recent research on ORI*, the Art and Science of Folding and Robotics.
The work, ORI*gen, is a post-anthropocentric narrative that explores the role of the natural language of folding. It signifies the genesis of a new species in oribotic research. This work combines research into complex irregular origami geometries, customised 3D printing technologies and soft-robotics.
