Heiko Idensen: Nominating Expert Net Vision/Net Excellence

Heiko Idensen (D) is specialist for hypermedia. He started working with net.literature in the late 80s. At Ars Electronica 90, he presented his Imaginary Library, an environment for collective text production. this year, he is nominating expert for literature in the category 'Net Vision/Net Excellence'.

Heiko Idensen (born 1956) studied German and psychology at the University of Hanover. His practical aesthetic work includes experimental theatre, performance, newspapers and magazines, video work and local cultural projects. Since 1987 he does actions and installations at media festivals (PooL Processing) together with Matthias Krohn. He participates in symposia and research projects in the field of HyperMedia. Since 1988, he has carried out theoretical-practical work in literature, new media and networks at the University of Hildesheim. During the last years, he has been involved in a research project on 'Network Culture Techniques'.
