Main IndexLIFESCIENCE: PRESS REPORT -Schroeder's Cat
--------------------------------------------------------- ARS ELECTRONICA FESTIVAL 99 LIFESCIENCE Linz, Austria, September 04 - 09 http://www.aec.at/lifescience --------------------------------------------------------- PRESS REPORT (Extrct.) Bio-artist Frankie Steyn went on trial today for infecting Schroeder's cat with the millenium bug. "I don't understand the fuss", she said "I just wanted to make an artistic statement!". Legal proceedings are reportedly being made difficult by scientists arguing about exactly when the cat died -or if indeed it did die. The discussions have caused post-mortums to be temporaly postponed in several parallel universa. At present this is the first known case of a cat being infected by a computer error. A government health spokesman claimed there was no need for panic as the occurance was scientificaly impossible. Animal rights activists are totally confused. More information is expected sooner or later. EUROTIMES Synd.
