Peter Fend seeks practical solutions to large-scale problems, and works to spark discussion and action among policy-makers, corporations and individuals. Fend lives and works in New York. In 1980, he founded the Ocean Earth Construction and Development Corporation. Through this company, Fend and other artists, architects and scientists research, develop and promote alternative energy sources, and use satellite imaging to monitor and analyze global ecological and geopolitical hot-spots, largely for media clients. Fend has exhibited widely since the late 1970s; his work has been shown alone, as a product of Ocean Earth, and as part of other collaborative projects.
