Ranjit Makkuni / India

Ranjit Makkuni is a Xerox PaloAlto Research Center multimedia researcher, designer and musician. He joined the PARC Systems Concepts Lab in 1985 and became part of the visionary group which developed the SmallTalk-80 Object Oriented programming language and the world's first Graphic User Interface. His explorations in computer-aided design and research into new paradigms for interface and presentation led to researches in Active Learning. He is developing non-button pushing, gesture based interfaces.
