The "Infomats"—highly distinctive touch screens designed by a number of different artists and architects—constitute an information system dispersed throughout the Ars Electronica Center.

These virtual museum guides, which provide information and background knowledge on the facility and its displays and installations, are activated and controlled by touching the screen surface.
