“They Rule” portrays the bonds interlinking the executive committees and boards of directors of the USA’s 100 wealthiest corporations.

A graphical user interface makes it possible to bring these linkages up on screen and visualize them. The board members of the respective firms are represented as tiny figures; clicking on a figure’s attaché case produces a display of his/her associations with other companies and boards of directors. These ties are depicted in the form of lines.

"They Rule" received a Golden Nica in the Net Excellence category of the 2002 Prix Ars Electronica.
