With All Senses
2006
The spectrum of human beings’ sensory perception is immeasurable, so as long as the computer has only a picture screen, the man-machine encounter will remain unsatisfactory. How do interfaces and the mode of interaction itself have to be designed in order for us to bring all of our senses into play? The challenge is to endow digital information with a physical form.
The current installations give a foretaste of things to come, innovations designed to expand the sphere of human action. Visitors can experience new forms of interplay between the real world and digital ones, and even take some of these cutting-edge models out for a test drive.
