Nicebots are a group of simple robots made out of wooden boxes. Each bot is capable of detecting obstacles in front of its path: A specially designed circuit board with a microprocessor controls the sensory data and instructs the bot to move, stop, or make sound.
The project was made possible with the help of: Thierry Martin, Directeur central des affaires culturelles de la ville de Nice; Gilbert Perlein, Conservateur en chef du Musée d'Art Moderne et d’Art Contemporain de Nice; Bernard Morel, Directeur général de l’Office du Tourisme et des Congrès de Nice; Jean-Claude Chedal, Directeur de la Ville Arson de Nice; Arnie Baskin, Film Department, Tisch School of the Arts, NYU; everyone who helped with this project at ITP, Tisch School of the Arts, NYU
