Kybermax und Moritz

'Markus Brandt Markus Brandt

Max and Moritz are two identical human-form cybernetic sculptures built on steel frames. They are 210 cm tall and can move like humans from the hips up. They are driven by compressed-air cylinders and controlled by computers. Three persons control one sculpture through the Internet. Two are responsible for moving the arms and one for the body axis. Provided that communication works, six people can make Max and Moritz act together.

Max is in Vienna while Moritz is travelling through Europe. At the beginning they are both in Berlin, but then move to Vienna where they are separated. In Linz the two of them are starting off as a pair in the net.

The cybernetic situation is transferred to the real-world locations of the sculptures. In addition, Max transmits his impressions of his current surroundings into the net. Moritz waits for invitations from the net so he can send experiences to his stationary brother.
