The wind blows mainly from the west through the "Danube Gate" of Linz. It has its origin somewhere between Munich and Nuremberg …
A stranded propeller, equipped with an electric motor and two loudspeakers, will generate a counter-current at this place, where once it was planned to erect the Museum of German Electrical Engineering.
The electric motor supports the propeller in its struggle against the prevailing forces, the resulting eddies and disturbances are converted into an acoustic signal, and this is transmitted westwards by old loudspeakers once used for the purposes of propaganda.
The positioning of the speakers directly behind the rotor blades in turn effects a negative emission of the sound, a kind of anti-propaganda in the opposite direction.
Disturbances of an acoustic and visual nature as a christening present for the museum of modern technology, with the hope that it will not identify too closely with the concept of familiarising the National Comrades with the achievements of German electrical engineering.
