IN FURORE
The basic idea of this concert is to join two different and a priori controversial musical principles into harmonic coexistence: The "classical" world of acoustical instruments and the technology-using world of "rock music".

The voice is expressed by many different vocal techniques ranging from opera through flamenco to jazz.
This music—characterized by a regular pulse and taking its inspiration from rock and African music—is full of a clear melodical structure. Its original harmony allows a counterpoint-like composition, developed on the basis of multi-track technology. This harmony is based on the poise of the keys in both horizontal and vertical levels, which gives independence to the melody and allows the avoidance of the melody's integration into tonality.

Most of the rhythms are written in a light dancing mood except two excerpts from "REQUIEM" by Géraldine Ros: "L'INTROIT" and "L'AGNUS" as well as the "LAMENTO", which serve as a contrast through their static and exclusively lyrical character.

The different cultural influences express themselves in wild and direct emotion which partially covers the musical conceptions and the improvisation behind it…

The interpreting artist does not behave in a static way on the stage, but moves, dances and plays the synthesizer and percussion instruments in a very personal way.

The concert is not interrupted by any interval, but is articulated by a sequence of arias which could well exist on their own, although deriving from the same text material.

Text "In Furore"
In Furore, justis immae irae
Tu divinitas factis potentem;

Quando potes me reum punire
Ipsum crimen te gerit clementem.

Miserationem Pater piissime
Parce mihi dolenti
Peccatore languenti
O Jesu dolcissime.

Tunc meus fletus
Evadet laetus
Dum pro te meum anguescit cor.

Fac me plorare
Mi Jesu care
Et fletus laetus jovebit cor.
