im Rahmen des Internationalen Brucknerfestes Linz
Ars Electronica 1982 focused on the topic of "Sky Art".
Linz became the first European station of the Sky Art Conference developed by Otto Piene at the
Centre for Advanced Visual Studies at the M.I.T.. The Sky Art Conference provided a forum for artists and scientists meeting the challenge of space. The core objects of the Festival - the Linz Cloud of Sound and Giorgio Battistelli's "Linz Steel Opera" - paid tribute to the social structures of the city of Linz. An additional point of interest was the topic of "Future", ranging from science-fiction to industrial robots.
