The RoboCup Robot World Cup Initiative is an international research and education initiative promoting artificial intelligence and robotics research. The game of football has been selected as the primary domain. Currently, RoboCup includes: Simulator League, Full Set Small Robots League, which includes teams of 11 robots, Middle Size Robot League, Sony League for Robots with Legs. Beginning in 2002, there will also be a Humanoid League.
