Biography

Born 1953 in Banja Koviljaca/Yugoslavia, has lived in Austria since 1963. From 1975 to 1980 he studied at the Hochschule für Angewandte Kunst in Vienna. Between 1981 and 1986 he participated in numerous art projects on video and computer works. In 1986 his works were shown at the Venice Biennale ("Imaginator" BTX) and at Ars Electronica ("Dialog " BTX). Since last year Zelko Wiener has been a lecturer at the Vienna Hochschule für Angewandte Kunst's Chair for Communication Theory with Hoy Ascott.
