Time
Stanislaw Sasak
Sasak was born on 11 July 1958 in Lublin. He graduated from State Fine Arts School in Wroclaw at the Department of Architecture of Interiors in 1983 and in 1986 at the Graphic Design Department. He took part in regional, all-Polish and foreign exhibitions, among others in "Diploma 83 "in Kraków, "Wroclaw Yesterday and Today" and "Way and Truth" in Wroclaw, as well as in the art fairs "Interart 88" in Poznan and "Hungarians, Poles and Yugoslavians" in Linz. Since 1988 he has been working as an assistant at the Department of Visual Knowledge at the State Fine Arts School in Wroclaw. In 1989 he was awarded a scholarship at the Institute of Visual Arts/Orleans by the French government.
All kinds of biological, mechanical and technical structures exist in my work as a way to show time, which has an almost concrete, touchable and "material" character. Working with the computer, especially digital processing, lets me manipulate the time of this same digital process. In this technical way I obtain changes in "real time".
