HONORARY MENTION
Snowball Camera
Scott B. Gregory

Scoff B. Gregory (USA), B.Sc. in Computer Science from Utica College, Syracuse University, since 1988 engineer for Rome Laboratory, the US Air Force "Super Lab", New York. His current projects involve designing and implementing the laboratory's World Wide Web information service.

As we always do, we were recently pondering what we could do for humankind for the winter season. We conceived of a concept for the next best thing to world peace - The Snowball Cam.

As we are sure you are aware of, the holiday season can be very hectic. Just thinking about the mobs of people out shopping, traffic jams, relatives coming into town to stay with you, the pressure of the job, and of course the bills, can make your blood pressure rise. If you make it through all of that you now have to deal with sub-zero temperatures, shoveling the driveway, slipping and falling on ice, getting stuck in a blizzard, and catching a cold. But don't let the stress get the best of you and ruin the season. Relieve it with the Snowball Cam! There is nothing more pure and more simple than a sphere of frozen precipitation. Ah, yes, the snowball. Go ahead, pick it up. Admire its beauty, its simplicity. Now if we just had a - wait a second! There goes an unsuspecting RL engineer. Should you? No, somehow it just wouldn't be - BLAM! Got him! Ahhhhh... suddenly the stress is gone and you once again feel like the joy and celebration of the winter season.
