Violet Suk (A), born 19/0 in South Korea, studied at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Vienna from 1989 to 1994. Martin Koch (A), born 1970, studied at the HTBL Graz (Audiovisual Media) from 1985 to 1990. Suk and Koch are currently studying under Peter Weibel, Master Class for Visual Media Design at the Hochschule für Angewandte Kunst, Vienna.

"inside fiction, outside war" is a music video for the experimental band Fuckhead from Linz. In their musical style, this band combines elements of jazz, metal and electronic music. The band in a world of metal, in a form of architecture that does not exist in reality. The bodies of the musicians, whose stage appearance strongly emphasizes their bodies, were placed in this fictitious world, in which metal begins to develop a life of its own. Typography (designed by Alexander Wiederin) was introduced as an additional element in the form of text and word fragments. The journey to the dark chasms of the human soul (emotionally in keeping with the text of the song) is intended to be represented by the lighting, the coloration and the performance of the band members, which strongly emphasizes the body. The shots of the band members took place in front of a blue box. The lighting was arranged to produce a lighting atmosphere as similar to the computer generated background as possible. The metal rooms and the architecture were created separately in the 3-D animation programs Infini-D 2.0 and Strata Studio i.o. Scanned photographs of rusted metal surfaces were used as surface maps. The shots of the band in front of blue and the computer generated image backgrounds and foregrounds were combined in PREMIERE 4.0, and additional camera movements were produced.
