Franck Magnant (F), born 1969, graduated with honors from Cergy Pontoise National Fine Art School. Since 1993 editor in Grand Canal Video (Paris) working for artists on several video tapes and installations. Franck Magnant received prizes and recognition at several international festivals.

Full of confusion, a library is a crossover between history and modernity spread throughout its infinite complexity. Amongst the reading room whispers, silence stifles the view of readers from another era. Thoughts expressed on paper fuse together here: the cement of an impossible building. "Edifice" was made up of traditional video shooting which has been combined with digital treatment. Computers and animating systems used are harry/henry/paint box. Flame on Silicon Graphics was used for some particular sequences requiring 3-0 effects. "Edifice" was produced by Grand Canal with the help of Mikros Image, Studio Remy Desmarquest, Moteur Art & Action.
