HONORARY MENTION
Work Clothes Program
Dominik Jais
Our work clothes supplier had for some time wanted a program with which one could “dye” and combine different articles of clothing however one liked. The web design firm he had been working with did not, however, want to risk an attempt. Through my father, I was asked if I would try to design a program in this direction. Of course, I accepted, because for me it meant a new challenge. I spent all of the Easter holidays copying the clothing into my computer and constructing the program with all its functions. The program helps customers to get a visual impression of their ideas for the work clothes they want.
In the program, an article of clothing is depicted in two windows (front / back). By clicking on a part, e.g. the breast pocket, and then choosing a color from the range of colors offered, the part is “dyed”. The color code for this part then appears listed in a chart at the bottom right. With the help of the menu bar, one can select under “models” between diverse overalls, jackets, dungarees, and so on.
When an article of clothing has been completed, the customer can submit his information via the menu bar. These details are then sent on to the factory where the clothes are produced according to these instructions.
