Das Studio und die Greenbox
Matthäus König, Tobias Schererbauer
, Sebastian Schreiner
The "green box" of Tobias Schererbauer, Matthäus König and Sebastian Schreiner served as a universal backdrop for film takes and dance interludes. It enabled them to make visuals more dynamic.
Our green box served as a universal backdrop for film takes and dance interludes. It enabled us to make our visuals more dynamic. The basic idea: to film sequences which we could later recolor and alter easily on the computer; to create footage which could be used for visualizing music. The solution: We bought green fabric at a building store and constructed our green box in the studio, installed lighting to illuminate the green surface and began positioning the cameras. We asked friends to dance in front of the cameras. Their movements played an important role in the final material. We spent several days shooting very diverse takes. Afterwards the video material was transferred to a PC and reworked. We made the small clips which we needed for the video mix. We hunted for a location to show our work and have so far tried to combine electronic music with live visuals at two festivals.
