HONORARY MENTION
Remind Me
H5
The video for to album Remind Me of the Norvegion band Röyksopp is made exclusively with graphics that are part of the common currency of daily life – from aircraft safety instructions to magazine and newspaper graphics. It tells the story of an ordinary person’s life working in the City in London. Each shot of the video is conceived as a technical illustration of a phenomenon, statistic or notice. The whole environment of the character – a 30 year-old woman working in the financial district of London – is thus detailed, from the wake-up time to the 6 o’clock beer at the end of the working day. Each shot follows a pure explanatory logic, illustrated by a succession of animated graphs, charts, diagrams and maps.
