HONORARY MENTION
Sigg Jones
Mathieu Bessudo, Douglas Lassance , Jonathan Vuillemin

Cartoons made in Hollywood are usually funny and cute. The short film Sigg Jones shows that 3D animation can also be a suitable medium for action-packed entertainment. The story: sport champ Sigg Jones is on his way to his next competition when he drinks a nutritional supplement that has evidently gone bad. He becomes nauseous and pukes a strange pink ball. Jones then goes crazy and attacks his agent – who steps back to avoid him and accidentally steps on the ominous ball. Its juices turn his shoes into super sneakers. The nameless agent, who is now equipped with superhuman powers thanks to his pimped footwear, puts up a good fight against the mighty Sigg Jones.

Spectacular action in comic-book style

Alrighty? True, the script is not the strong point of Sigg Jones. But by tradition, action films can get by without a good plot if they keep suspense levels high with spectacular scenes. And this is exactly what Sigg Jones does: the elaborate film, animated in comic-book style, is packed with cool screen action.
