Wiener Tafel (“Vienna´s Table”) is an independent honorary organization that aims at social redistribution and handling resources meaningfully. The Wiener Tafel collects surplus foods and sanitary products where they occur and delivers them where they are needed. By doing so it supports the needy in homeless shelters, refugee homes and safe houses for women and children. Consequently, up to two tonnes of food are saved from the dump daily.

Some 100 partners from the industry are now constructively involved in some 60 social facilities via witalis, a logistics program developed specifically for this purpose. A comparison of the range of products available and what is needed is posted online. As an open community, you can sign up as a driver or assist a delivery. With groupware, you can follow, interactively structure and/or personally implement projects for individual areas. Wiener Tafel is an entirely independent NPO that operates on a voluntary basis and is financed with private donations and sponsoring.
