DISTINCTION
Flying Bytes
Josef Koller, Christof Sirk

Flying Bytes is a 3D computer flying game in real time. Flying Bytes has been developed professionally with state-of-the-art technologies. It is the third game we have produced using our CornerStone engine. It demonstrates the effectiveness and efficiency of this class library.

CornerStone is an open-source 3D game engine developed in C#. It is a class library with some 140 classes and 90,000 lines of code. In addition, the engine contains a documentation and tutorials, including demos for the individual topics.

This project evolved out of our interest in programming games. After writing one small game in Delphi, we decided to develop a class library that would make it easier to produce games in the future. Over time, it developed into an engine that can hold its own against other engines – which is why we decided to make our work available to others who are interested. With the aid of the CornerStone engine it is relatively easy to develop a large-scale computer game.
