As an ad for the Spanish Lotteries Organization, the Lottery Fantasy spot is a depiction of a wonderworld where dreams may come true.

The most important challenge for the Daiquiri/- Spainbox team was an artistic one: to create and visualize a world which has no reference in real life and succeed in realizing pictures both surrealistic and magic, but at the same time easily understandable in an advertising language.

There were no major problems in the technical field except for the lighting: all backgrounds were shot in broad daylight, and we had to be very careful with lighting and matching the refraction of the light in the shots with the 3D lights.

Among the tools used for the post-production and visual effects were: Softimage, for the “Fantasia” boat, the fans, the water for the firemen (with Dinamation) and the sea under the Fantasia (with Natural FX from Arete), the trumpets, the castles and the funfair with the cars.

Alias and Maya were used to model and animate the sailboats, the carrousel with diamonds, and the marbles set at the beginning of the spot. We worked with 3D Equalizer too and rendered with Mental Ray. Final compositing was realized on Flame and Henry.

The whole team was composed of 14 3D artists and editors working for 2 months.
