HONORARY MENTION
Digicrime
Kevin McCurley

Kevin McCurley (USA) is a computer scientist whose primary research interests are in cryptology, network security, parallel computing, and computational number therory. He believes that information security needs to be more tightly integrated into the entire computer science curriculum in order for it to have any impact.

Where is the headquarters of DigiCrime?
We have no physical offices. We also do not maintain our own computer systems, since we find it cheaper and easier to use other people's computers.

Is DigiCrime hiring at this time?
No, we've decided to keep the wealth to ourselves.

What kind of skills are required for such a company?
Probably the kind you don't have. Qualifications include a healthy cynicism about information security, and a rapier wit.

What recognition and awards has DigiCrime won?
Having been judged by a jury of non-peers, DigiCrime has appeared on CNN International World Business Today on October 12, 1995, and InfoWeek on November 20, 1995. It has been selected as "Cool Site of the Day" on November 1, 1995, and has also been selected among the "top 5% of all web sites".

What exactly is DigiCrime?
In case you have not figured it out yet, DigiCrime is a joke. It is our twisted attempt to poke fun at the vulnerability that our society suffers from as we move into the information age. On the other hand it's not a joke in the sense that the future of our society depends on the ability to protect information. That's what we're working on in real life.

Does DigiCrime encourage or engage in criminal activity?
Certainly not. What kind of fools do you take us for? We have no desire to cross the FBI.
