It all started last fall, when we learned about symbolism and about the picture "Die Toteninsel" ("Island of the Dead") by Arnold Böcklin in drawing class. Since I had been busy with 3D design for several months and was interested in building something larger, the very expressive painting provided me with the model I had been looking for. I started to work on it the same day and constructed the first parts of the temple that is located on the Island of the Dead.
