LEGO® Station Workshops

Bring robots to life and experiment with the latest technologies – the LEGO® Station Workshops offers just such an opportunity to children aged eight and up!

While playing, children are taught by competent facilitators how to handle new technologies. In the process, they are encouraged to develop their analytical and problem-solving abilities as well as teamwork skills.

In the workshop, the goal is to take LEGO® elements, motors, contact and light sensors, as well as the RCX, a LEGO® microcomputer, and construct and program robots that will do best at the concluding sports event.

With user-friendly software, the robots can be equipped via a PC with personality, certain behaviour patterns and features. At the end of the workshop, the robots – built in teams of two – compete against each other in the game "RoboMatch". The robot to score the most goals within a specific time frame is the winner!

The technology for RCX was developed in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the USA.
