Gulliver’s World – Workshops
Designing cartoons and creating adventures – the workshops revolving around the new Gulliver’s World installation offer kids and youngsters a world of fun during vacation.
In Gulliver’s World, the accent is on creativity and the user’s power of imagination. Seven interactive stations enable visitors—both young and old—to design virtual worlds and their inhabitants, and to even “beam” themselves into these artificial environments by means of video imaging and 3-D projections. Fun, adventure and acquiring skills to work with the latest technologies are the watchwords of the philosophy behind Gulliver’s World.
Your Adventures in Gulliver’s World
Gulliver’s World is constantly in motion; its inhabitants experience non-stop adventure and plenty of surprises. But how do you create narratives and bring them to life? Just let your imagination run wild! This workshop is designed to enable young people to come up with their own plot structures. An expert from the Ars Electronica Futurelab provides the fundamentals of arranging the possibilities of interaction among virtual and material realities. Let the adventures begin!
