IAMAS: Progressive Media Art Education from Japan
For the fourth year, Linz’s University of Art and Industrial Design is hosting representatives of an international academy of art that takes an innovative approach to teaching media art and culture.

IAMAS is a renowned educational institution located in Ogaki, Gifu, Japan. It consists of the International Academy of Media Arts and Sciences and the Institute of Advanced Media Arts and Sciences. Its interdisciplinary concept of education encompasses network design, computer-generated design, animation, information and interface design as well as interactive media art and media aesthetics.

An extensive exhibition of student projects, a documentation of IAMAS’s biannual media art festival and the results of its artist-in-residence program will be presented on the campus of the University of Art.

In cooperation with IAMAS and the Linz University of Art and Industrial Design.
