Daily Highlights – September 6, 2005
The final day of Ars Electronica still has some interesting speeches on the program before this year’s Festival concludes with the big farewell event.

The “Man and Computer 2005” conference is doing a guest spot at Ars Electronica in the form of a panel entitled “Design for Digital Communities.” Speakers will discuss interface design as a social challenge and a Staging Prize will be awarded to the principals of the “TraceEncounters” project.

In transpublic, Kari Jormakka and Peter Cornwell will be elaborating on new technologies that make it possible to deploy media on large-format projection surfaces like building façades in forms and magnitudes that have been unthinkable up to now.

Ars Electronica 2005 will wind up with “hybrid transmission.” The Linz artists’ collective qujOchÖ will present live performances, visualizations and sound installations on three platforms arrayed about the Ars Electronica Center.
