curious implantation is a large-scale installation that dominates the public space in which it is set. This hybrid creation at the nexus of nature and technology consists of 500,000 white plastic cable ties employed in a radically different way than the one for which they were intended. At first glance, this sculpture seems to be soft as a meadow and fluffy as a fleece, but when you touch its apparently organic surface, you’re taken back by the material’s tough, bristly feel.
