Begeisterung – Potential – Kompetenz – Erfolg. Bildung mit und ohne Schule

06.09.2011 Di/Tue 17:00-19:00 & 19:30-21:00, BRÜCKE

How does a child grow up under conditions that neurological scientists
would consider ideal? The story of André Stern (FR) provides answers. Stern, born in 1971, is a musician, composer, master guitarmaker, journalist and author. His parents decided not to send him to school. His speech promises to be an undogmatic contribution to the debate on education going on throughout Europe, and neither a how-to guide for would-be nonconformists nor a collection of patent remedies.
Afterwards, André Stern (FR), Gerfried Stocker (artistic director of Ars Electronica / AT), Erwin Dorn (teacher and cofounder of Kukusch / AT), Ulrike Greiner (chancellor, Upper Austria University of Education / AT) und Nana Thurner (2008 Golden Nica winner in u19 – freestyle computing / AT) will discuss what the educational system of the future can and must do.
