Begeisterung – Potential – Kompetenz – Erfolg. Bildung mit und ohne Schule

How does a child grow up under conditions that neurological scientists
would consider ideal? The story of André Stern (FR) provides answers. Stern, born in 1971, is a musician, composer, master guitarmaker, journalist and author. His parents decided not to send him to school. His speech promises to be an undogmatic contribution to the debate on education going on throughout Europe, and neither a how-to guide for would-be nonconformists nor a collection of patent remedies.
Afterwards, André Stern (FR), Gerfried Stocker (artistic director of Ars Electronica / AT), Erwin Dorn (teacher and cofounder of Kukusch / AT), Ulrike Greiner (chancellor, Upper Austria University of Education / AT) und Nana Thurner (2008 Golden Nica winner in u19 – freestyle computing / AT) will discuss what the educational system of the future can and must do.

BarCamp Splitter

A BarCamp is a conference with no preset topic. Participation is open to all who are interested in engaging in a process of mutual exchange, discussing things with others and learning from them. At the planning session at the beginning of the BarCamp, everyone can present their topics. Then, there’ll be a vote to establish the day’s agenda. The BarCamp at u19 CREATE YOUR WORLD invites young and old alike to jointly configure the day’s lineup!
